Extended Flight Time and Improved Battery

One of the standout features of the Mavic 4 Pro drone is its impressive flight time. Equipped with a 6654mAh battery, the drone can stay airborne for up to 52 minutes on a single charge. This is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Mavic 3 Pro, which had a maximum flight time of 43 minutes. The increased battery capacity does result in a higher takeoff weight of 1,045 grams, compared to the Mavic 3 Pro’s 958 grams.

    Advanced Obstacle Avoidance and Navigation

Safety and precision are paramount in drone operation. The Mavic 4 Pro introduces a “Triple Eye” visual positioning system, utilizing three separate visual sensors for accurate position determination and obstacle avoidance. Additionally, the drone features an advanced dual-controller system, allowing two users to control the drone simultaneously ideal for complex shoots requiring a pilot and a cameraman.

Innovative Gimbal Design for Creative Flexibility

The Mavic 4 Pro’s gimbal has been redesigned to offer a tilt range from -90° to +80°, surpassing the Mavic 3 Pro’s range of -90° to +35°. This expanded range provides greater flexibility in capturing shots from various angles, enhancing creative possibilities for users.

    Enhanced Storage and Connectivity

For professionals who need a lot of storage, the Mavic 4 Pro has a Cine model that comes with a built-in 2TB SSD. The Mavic 4 Pro Cine offers twice the storage space as the Mavic 3 Pro Cine. This ample storage is essential for capturing high-resolution footage without the need for frequent data transfers. The Mavic 4 Pro drone now uses the new O4+ video transmission system, which boosts its flying range to 40km. This is a big improvement over the Mavic 3 Pro, which could only go up to 15km.

    Pricing and Availability

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro is expected to be priced slightly higher than its predecessor. The base model is anticipated to cost around €2,200, approximately €100 more than the Mavic 3 Pro. The Mavic 4 Pro is now available in many countries, but not yet in the United States.
